Tenants Organisation of Lewes District produces Tenants Voice newsletter three times a year. Tenants Voice gives you up to date housing news from a tenant’s viewpoint. It is posted to all tenants, except those with email, who are sent a link to the latest version.

We hold regular drop in sessions if you are looking for advice about difficulty paying your rent or mortgage, your rights as a tenant or owner Or if you need to find somewhere to live or are facing problems maintaining your home.

Advice drop-in surgery

  • Tuesdays 9 am-12.30 pm: Lewes. Council Offices, Southover House, Southover Road.
  • Thursdays 9 am-12.30 pm: Newhaven. Saxon House, Meeching Road.

Alternatively you can complete an online housing advice request. We can arrange home visits in some cases to people with disabilities or those living in villages with no transport.

Peacehaven and Seaford Surgeries will re-commence from 6th November 2017. The surgeries will operate from this date as appointment only. Any local applicant who comes into either Peacehaven or Seaford Town Council offices you will be able to use the phone in the interview room in order to contact the Duty Officer.

Appointment only

  • Mondays 9 am-12.30 pm: Peacehaven. Community House, Meridian Centre, Meridian Way.
  • Wednesdays & Fridays 10 am-12.30 pm: Seaford. The Police Building, Church Street

Alternatively an email request can be made to housingneeds@lewes.gov.uk. You will need to include the clients full name and date of birth and their phone number and the Duty Officer will call the applicant back. There is free internet access available at the local library.
