Byelaws

Byelaws are laws which have been made by local authorities using powers granted by Parliament. They apply locally rather than nationally, and are usually limited to a place or places or to or to a particular class of activity, such as tattooing.

Breaches of byelaws are normally prosecuted in the Magistrates Court.
