The popular event is an ideal opportunity for businesses to host their Christmas evening out for staff or for groups of friends to get together for yuletide fun, with individuals and couples welcome too.

It is being held at Willingdon Golf Club in Southdown Road (BN20 9AA) on the evening of Friday, December 1.

Guests will have a variety of options for their three-course Christmas meal followed by coffee and mince pies and a raffle. There will also be musical entertainment from Jay Hunter.

The Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Candy Vaughan, said: "This is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit and by coming along you will also be supporting two wonderful local causes.

"Whether you are coming with work colleagues, friends or family, my Christmas Dinner promises to be a great festive night out filled with fun and excellent food, so get your tickets now!"

The Mayor's charities this year are A Band of Brothers which works with young men to grow, develop and improve their lives while The Old Bank - Wellbeing Trust provides counselling and therapist services to support people of all ages.

Tickets cost £39 each and guests will be seated at tables of between eight and 10 people.

Arrival is from 6pm for musical entertainment in the lounge followed by dinner at 7pm.
