The communities we serve are made up of different people who in turn have individual needs, requirements and expectations. It is the council’s responsibility to ensure that it delivers services in ways that promote equality of opportunity and meet the needs of the local community.
We are committed to meeting our legal duties under the Equality Act 2010, along with supporting and celebrating the different communities which make up our vibrant villages and towns. The Equality Objectives below will be supplemented by an annual update of our progress.
