Consultation on the councils' equality objectives

Between 7 November to 15 December 2017 we carried out a public consultation over the proposed equality objectives of Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council.

Under the Equality Act, both councils are required to publish their equality objectives to set out how we will ensure we comply with our equality duties. To find out more about the Equality Act visit GOV.UK – Public Sector Equality Duty

How we consulted

We invited views on our proposed equality objectives from residents, organisations, groups and any other interested stakeholders.

We provided an online survey to help respondents structure their feedback. We also invited feedback by email and by post.
