Application to the Mayor's poor fund

The Mayor's Poor Fund is a registered charity (No. 210664) to which organisations (only) can make a request for one-off grants to help Eastbourne residents in need of financial assistance by reason of poverty, unemployment, illness or similar. The charity will only consider contributing to the cost of items specified and costed in the application. For example household goods, clothing, general housing maintenance costs. 

Please note that cash payments will not be made and funds cannot be used to pay off an individual's debts.

An application usually takes around 8 weeks and depends on how quickly you return documents to us.
