A council development of affordable homes welcomed board members from Eastbourne Homes this week.
The visit to The Glenn in Southfields Road gave the board members an opportunity to see how the scheme is progressing.
A ‘fabric first’ approach to the build will ensure the 19 apartments are insulated to a very high level to help keep energy costs lower. Additionally, the development will feature a ‘green roof’ where vegetation is encouraged to grow, which is good news for greater biodiversity.
Most significantly, three of the 19 homes are fully adapted for disabled tenants.
