The Environment First team at Eastbourne Borough Council has shown its support for two charities at recent fundraising events.

The team took part in the Seafront Soapbox Race with a soapbox named LAMBO1 in memory of their much-loved friend Chris Lambert who died three years ago, and have so far raised £2,000 for St Wilfrid's Hospice.

Environment First also organised a Friends 'n' Family charity walk to Cuckmere Haven which amassed hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This event saw one group set off from Newhaven and stride along Seaford beach to Cuckmere Haven where they met up with a group that started in Eastbourne and walked over the Seven Sisters.
