People are being invited to express their views on a vision to protect and conserve Eastbourne Downland for the future.

Eastbourne Borough Council is hosting a drop-in workshop session to hear the opinions of residents and interested groups on its Downland vision statement.

This strategic statement will form the basis of a plan the council is developing for long-term management of the land, as well as looking at the opportunities and challenges faced across the Downland.

Councillor Jonathan Dow, Cabinet Member for Place Services, said: “This is a chance for people to share their aspirations and views about future management of the Downland as well as hear about the council’s key objectives for the land. I hope as many people as possible come along.”

The workshop runs from noon to 8pm on Tuesday, 29 January, in the Court Room at Eastbourne Town Hall.

People can drop-in at any time and bookings are not needed.
