Join Treebourne at the Old Ratton planting site this Saturday (25 June), 9am - 12pm for some essential tree care. They will be weeding and straightening the 2000 trees they planted in February. It's a lovely place to be, with wide-ranging views of the town, which is now full of pioneer plants and wildflowers.
Feel free to turn up anytime between 9am and 12pm. Volunteers will be stopping for a welcome refreshment break at around 10.30am. The site is uneven with some brambles so strong shoes, gloves and trousers are advisable.
The meeting point is at the top of Old Mansion Close (for 9am). If you are coming later, the planting site is through the alleyway next to number 6.
Look for the Treebourne flags as you come on to the planting site. They will be at the far end of the site this time, so you might have to walk a little way along the path that runs parallel to the fence line on your left as you come out of the alleyway.
