You can use the following services whether you are a resident of Lewes district or Eastbourne.

Homeworks

If you are aged between 16 and 64 years old and need help and assistance to complete an application or help to find a home, you can apply to Homeworks online or ask us to refer you. Homeworks will meet with you and agree a plan best suited to your needs. They can also refer you to other voluntary and statutory agencies that may be able to assist you.

STEPS 

If you are over 65 or over 18 with a long term physical health condition then STEPS can offer advice and assistance on housing matters. You can apply to STEPS online or ask us to refer you. STEPS can also be contacted by phone: 01323 436 414, text: 07970 668 106 or email: referrals@stepswest.co.uk

Legal advice on housing matters

If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness and claiming benefits, then the BHT (Brighton Housing Trust) Eastbourne Advice Centre can offer legal advice and assistance. They are based at Highlight House, St Leonards Road, Eastbourne, or you can call them on 01323 642615. They can also assist you in asking the councils to reconsider any decision we may have made on your application.
