Eastbourne has four theatres which, together, can seat more than 4,500 people. Each theatre has its own character and style, from the purpose-built Congress theatre to the Victorian Devonshire Park theatre.

Congress Theatre
The Congress theatre in Carlisle Road is a purpose-built modern theatre and conference venue with a seating capacity of 1689. It has a licensed bar, cloakroom facilities, disabled facilities and public phones are available in the foyer.
Devonshire Park Theatre
The theatre has a seating capacity of 936 and has disabled facilities which include an audio description service. There is a fully licensed bar and coffee and tea are also served to patrons in their seats during performance intervals.
Winter Garden
The Winter Garden in Compton Street consists of two main parts:
- the Floral Hall, originally used as a skating rink in winter and concert hall in summer
- the Gold Room
Both parts are now used for performances and as conference venues.
Royal Hippodrome
The Royal Hippodrome is owned by Eastbourne Borough Council but, unlike the other theatres, is run by a separate production company - RHT Management.
