The Armed Forces Champion for Lewes District Council, Cllr Sharon Davy attended the 90th Annual Re-union of the Royal Sussex Regimental Association on Saturday 10th September, held in Lewes Town Hall. Also in attendance were young people from the Sussex Army Cadet Force.
The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II gave a sombre note. Cllr Davy said: “It was an honour to be with veterans as we came together to mourn the Queen's death, as well as toasting our new King and was a reminder of how fortunate we are to have our constitutional monarchy".
