Starting this weekend, Artwave showcases and celebrates the wealth of creative talent in this vibrant part of Sussex.
Taking place over three weekends from 17 August to 1 September, you can follow the trail of 140 free exhibitions across Lewes, Seaford, Newhaven and the surrounding villages.
Exhibitions will be held in everywhere from artists’ homes and studios to churches, pubs and even the cable hut at Cuckmere Haven.
Councillor Ruth O’Keeffe, Cabinet Member for Tourism, said:
“This weekend marks a real opportunity to support the arts and get to meet so many incredibly creative and talented people in the Lewes district.”
Artwave is a great opportunity to support the creative community in Lewes district and shop local, while giving everyone the chance to meet the makers and learn about their practice. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions in a wide variety of mediums, by a mixture of emerging and professional artists and makers.
See artwavefestival.org for full details of all that Artwave has to offer, and follow Artwave on Instagram @artwavefestival.
