Taxi licensing

Latest Covid-19 Taxi Licensing update

From Monday 15 June we will restart licensing new vehicles for currently licensed drivers. If you are waiting to get a vehicle licensed or are in the process of purchasing a vehicle please contact us on the details below.

Our reception desks at Southover House, Saxon House and 1 Grove Road have not reopened so we have put new measures in place to work around this. When you contact us we will ask which garage your vehicle will be testing at and we will send the livery to that garage ready for you to collect.

The ‘intention to renew’ process is currently still in place but we are starting to contact drivers who have filled out an intention for vehicle licences to gather the full renewal.

A new online payment process will be up and running from Monday 22 June as we are unable to accept cash payments.

We are working on a process for driver renewals, DBS (Disclosure Barring services) checks and initial applications, however these are not yet in place. We will publish further updates on this page when the new processes are available.
