Business Rate bills can be paid in a variety of ways. Our preferred method is by Direct Debit.

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. It is simple and easy to set up and saves you time.

How to set up a Direct Debit

  • You can now set up a Direct Debit on our new Citizen Access portal. You will need to sign up to our website My Account first. You will then be able to register for Citizen Access directly through My Account. Read our registration guidance before you start.

Or, if you have already registered with both My Account and Citizen Access, you can

  • You can set up a Direct Debit for the 1st of the month
  • Once we receive your instruction, we will set up the Direct Debit and you will receive a revised Business Rates bill confirming your instalment dates and amounts
  • Unless your Direct Debit is cancelled we will collect by this method each year
