If you wish to carry out works to trees, you must seek permission from us before the works start. Apart from some exceptions, all works to a tree subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and most works to trees in a conservation area will need consent.
You can use the same form to apply for works to TPOs and trees in a conservation area.
Your application must:
-
state the reason for making the application
-
describe the trees to which the application relates
-
specify as precisely as possible the tree work that is proposed
-
provide adequate information to support your case
The quickest and easiest way to make your application for works to trees is to apply online using the Planning Portal.
