Apply to add a name or change the existing name of your property

Applicants are encouraged to submit up to three property names as part of this application, as the first choice may not always be accepted.

Proposed house names should be in line with the criteria outlined in section 10 of the Council’s Street Naming and Numbering Policy.

Fees

The charge for adding/changing a property name is currently £50 per property.

The charge for changing an existing large building name (containing flats / commercial units) is £100

All Street Naming and Numbering fees are listed on the Street Naming and Numbering page and are subject to an annual review.

Details on how to make a payment will be forwarded once we have received your application.

The Council will process property name change applications within 10 working days from date of payment.
