A new and exciting opportunity to play a key role in the transformation and regeneration of assets, places, and local communities.

Join our Development & Acquisitions service and be part of an innovative and exciting team focusing on delivering a flagship Government grant programme, shaping future retrofit policy, and leading an East Sussex consortium to tackle fuel poverty.

In your role as Project Manager - Housing Retrofit you will play a key part in the property and development team. You will manage a £3.9m grant programme on behalf of a East Sussex consortium, be a single point of contact for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, oversee the delivery of multiple contractors, and support partners across the county to develop and deliver the East Sussex Retrofit Strategy.

Your role will span the Councils and other organisations within the public sector. You will provide project management services including oversight of property designs and measures, approving and tracking of properties that are eligible for a grant, chairing project meetings, dealing with ongoing issues and requests from DESNZ and elected Members, and ensuring retrofit is a success in East Sussex.

You will be a pro-active, high performing, self-motivated individual who is able to work under pressure, shows attention to detail, has experience of delivering a successful grant retrofit programme, and has worked in a project management environment. You will have strong all round communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships within the organisation as well as with external strategic partners, clients, and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a challenging environment. You must be a team player, working on your own initiative and organising your own workload. Political awareness and understanding are essential, as you will be working with elected councillors, senior managers in the Councils and other organisations, members of the public and other key stakeholders.

If you want to make a difference within an exciting and growing service, working across two organisations, we'd love to hear from you.
