Launched in Spring 2018, Homes First amalgamates Lewes District Council's in house management of social housing with Eastbourne Borough Council's arm's length management organisation (ALMO) Eastbourne Homes Ltd. Homes First manages a combined property portfolio of over 8,500 homes and will invest almost £20M per annum in maintenance, service contracts, major repairs and improvements. Homes First has a varied property portfolio from rural individual properties to flats in busy town centres Our service is also growing as the Councils' new investment companies develop new housing covering a range of different tenures and accommodation types.
Support Services Officer
The in-house Property and Development Team deliver responsive & planned repairs for our social housing portfolio. The post holder will be part of the team supporting these services.
This role is all about empathy and taking personal ownership and responsibility for helping our tenants and leaseholders. Excellent communication skills and good IT skills required. Some knowledge of building construction would be helpful, but a willingness to learn, and help people is most important. This role could lead on to other surveying and maintenance opportunities. These posts are based in our new office in Eastbourne Town Hall.
