We have a vacancy for a Governance and Admin Support Officer, working on the Eastbourne Pride in Place Programme. Eastbourne has been awarded up to £20 million over the next decade from the Government's Pride in Place Programme (PiPP), to improve Eastbourne's neighbourhoods, high streets, youth clubs, and public spaces.

This is a new role, working for and alongside We Are Eastbourne, an independent voluntary community-led Board set up to make sure local people have a real say in shaping the future of our town. This role will eventually be transferred over to the PiPP 'Community-model', expected within the next 12-36 months.

This role will be responsible for providing governance, administrative, and operational support to the Board, delivering effective corporate governance, coordinating Board processes, maintaining statutory compliance, and ensuring accurate and timely information flow, records, and decision tracking. The role will also support local engagement consultations, research, and communication activities with local stakeholders.

It is essential that you have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, alongside strong communication skills and a good working knowledge of standard IT packages. You will be required to be self-motivated and flexible, and able to work independently. Proven experience in an executive assistant or similar role is expected, including experience in minute-taking and preparing formal documents, working with monitoring and evaluation systems and processes, producing and reporting on budgets and outputs, and financial planning and management. Please refer to the Job Description for more details.

This position is based in Eastbourne. The preferred working pattern for this post is hybrid, working at least two days of the three days per week in Eastbourne Town Centre, with the remaining day working from home. There will also be some travel around the town for meetings and engagement with local stakeholders.
