We have a vacancy for a Programme Manager, working on the Eastbourne Pride in Place Programme. Eastbourne has been awarded up to £20 million over the next decade from the Government's Pride in Place Programme (PiPP), to improve Eastbourne's neighbourhoods, high streets, youth clubs, and public spaces.
This is a new role, working for and alongside We Are Eastbourne, an independent voluntary community-led Board set up to make sure local people have a real say in shaping the future of our town. This role will eventually be transferred over to the PiPP 'Community-model', expected within the next 12-36 months.
This role will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Board's 10-year Regeneration Plan and 4-year Investment Plan, working closely with the Board to provide leadership and oversight of the programme, building and maintaining strong relationships with local stakeholders, and delivering a wide-ranging programme of projects that leave a clear and lasting legacy for Eastbourne.
It is essential that you have a proven ability to successfully deliver projects and programmes, with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and an understanding of the importance of community involvement and place-based approaches. You will be required to utilise programme management tools and software, including Microsoft Office, to effectively manage and communicate complex programme timelines, budgets, key performance indicator development and tracking, and stakeholder reporting. Experience of partnership working within statutory and volunteer sector settings, and with a variety of public, private, and third sector stakeholders, is required, as is a self-motivated and flexible approach, and in-depth knowledge of Eastbourne and its nine wards. Please refer to the Job Description for more details.
This position is based in Eastbourne. The preferred working pattern for this post is hybrid, working at least three days per week in Eastbourne Town Centre, with the remaining two days working from home. There will also be some travel around the town for meetings and engagement with local stakeholders.
