Your housing rent can be paid in a variety of ways to suit your needs.

Each council has different methods of payment. If you are an Eastbourne Homes resident please read the information in the Eastbourne Borough Council tab below. For information about your Lewes District Council home, you should read the information under the Lewes tab.

Difficulty paying rent

Pay rent by Direct Debit to Lewes District Council  

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. It is simple and easy to set up and saves you time.

Make regular payments by signing up to pay automatically by Direct Debit.You can choose to pay fortnightly, monthly or four-weekly in advance. Monthly payments are requested on the 1st of every month.

Download and complete the Direct Debit instruction below and return it to: Housing Services, Lewes District Council, Southover House, Southover Road, Lewes, BN7 1AB You can download a new Direct Debit form and fill it in with your new details and send it to us. Please write on the form if it is a change to a current Direct Debit.

Paying by telephone is convenient with our 24 hour automated payment line. Call 0800 023 7080. You will need your 12 digit payment reference number handy to process your payment. Calls to this number are free from a UK landline, but charges may apply from mobiles.
