Housing Land Supply

The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requires Local Planning Authorities to identify and maintain an up-to-date five year supply of deliverable housing sites.  You can download information on both Lewes and Eastbourne councils' five year housing land position below.

We have updated our housing supply position to reflect the five year position as at 11 May 2021. This note now replaces the position as at 1 April 2020. 

If you require the five year housing land position for the South Downs National Park (SDNP) please contact the South Downs National Park Authority.

Information on our five year housing land supply is contained within our local monitoring report.  The latest position is also presented to our Planning Committee on a quarterly basis. You can download reports from our Planning Committee Meetings page.
