Apply for a transfer of a premises licence
Pre-application Advice for Licensing Act 2003
The Licensing Act 2003 allows a premises licence to be transferred to another person/company. This is usually made when the premises has been sold from one person/company to another.
You need to apply for a transfer of the premises licence if the only change is the identity of the premises licence holder and does not alter the licence in any other way.
Restrictions
You must be 18 or over to apply for a variation of a premises licence to specify an individual as a DPS.
Displaying your licence
Part A of the updated licence should be kept safely at the premises. Police or council officers can ask to inspect them at any time.
You must display the updated Part B, the licence summary, at your premises where it can be easily seen.
